These are the moments...
The past two days have been the best two days of my summer so far. I am staying with my cousin and I got to hang out with her and her crew last night. We went cosmic/xtreme bowling last night, and then went to this park at 11:30 to hang out. I met this really nice girl and ended up talking to her for quite a while, while everyone else kept quiet because they thought we were making out. ;) Sorry to disappoint you ash! That's the kind of girl I wish I could meet in GA; someone who I can connect with and just talk and do anything. Randomness is the key to having fun I tell ya! It was a great night and I met some awesome people. 'Specially that 80's chick Malibu Stacey. :-D Today we went to the beach on Long Island sound. I now look like a lobster.. but that's the price you pay for not using sunscreen! So now I think I am going to rent the Butterfly Effect before my cousin falls asleep and she can't drive me. (I hate not having a car in CT!) Ill be going to hang out with my other cousin, Crazy Nipples as we call him, soon. So ill update later. Peace everyone. What's the deal with 490?
Yea, I got my SAT scores back, and not good. I got the same verbal score that i worked freakin hard to get up. I needed a 530 to get into West GA early next year, but i got a 490... AGAIN! WHATS THE DEAL? Yea... way too many things on my mind right now. im pretty upset i didnt get in. I could get into West GA as a freshmen, but not doing the senior enrichment program.. go freakin figure. anyway, hopefully i will pick up a new project to keep my mind busy. im out... Running & God, the solution for all your problems.
Ok, so if you are ever having problems in life. First, tell God about your problem. Then ask him to help you out; he has the solutions to everything. Then, go run. If you are tired, running gives you energy. If you are angry, running can help you get all your anger out and relieve stress. If you have a disease, consult your doctor, then run (just look at Lance Armstrong!) Now, if you have other problems, like you need more money, or if you want new clothes that your parents wont let you get, thats different. God knows the difference between what you need and want. God will always make sure you have what you need. It may take a while, but he will do it if you help him. Example, I was looking to get more business, so I went to the church. Im doing a website for the church, for free. In return, I get free advertising, and recommendations. It all works out in the end. You may think Im crazy, but im not. It works. So next time your pissed or feel like shit, go run, and feel better about yourself! :) Current Mood: awakeCurrent Music: 311 - Amber | | 6:25 pm |
I am Strategic and Creative
I took the monster.com "right job wrong job" test, and this was the result on what type of job i should get. ------------------------------------- Strategic and Creative As a Strategic type, you want to be able to express yourself and your ideas through work. Sure there's a time and place for rules and procedures, but when a good thought strikes you, you don't want it to be boxed into one way of thinking. You're willing to go outside the rules if there's a chance that the risk will reap big rewards. You are stronger than most when it comes to generating ideas. And because of this, it might sometimes feel easier to take on all aspects of a job yourself instead of wasting time explaining it to someone else who might not "get it" like you do. But because you have so many ideas and are willing to take on so much, you might find that you sometimes have trouble finishing every project you start. Your diplomacy and adaptability make you a valuable asset. But your need to feel invested in a company that allows you to express your original ways of thinking will ultimately impact how happy you are in the workplace. ------------------------------------- Hm... I think I'm going in the right direction. But today, I figured out that I want to work as a graphic/layout/web designer for a magazine, preferably a fashion/model magazine because I love doing the creative stuff. I really hope I can get into West GA soon because then I will be a college student and internships will actually APPLY TO ME! As of right now, its just me passing around my resume, and seeing who takes me seriously as a 16 year old student. I bid on a project to make a program for a Trophy Maker online... go figure, but it pays money, so whatever. I also got paid today by my people in Louisiana! Hooray! He gave me a bonus, and said he would have more work for me, so that's always good. But that's all I have for now, Becca wanted me to update. Ill have more news soon. As for now, its almost time for trivia! Current Mood: artisticCurrent Music: Finch - What it is to burn | | Saturday, June 26th, 2004 | | 11:46 pm |
What the hell is caller ID... whats my age again?
Yea, well its been a hell of a night. It started at the marble slab creamery in PTC. Then we rode around the avenue listening to Techno music and did some techno dancing to show off our mad skills. Then we went to blockbuster and rented some movie "Detroit Rock City." it is hilarious, everyone should see it. so we get to kyle's house, and i get this phone call, from Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Salon, saying that i owe them $10. Yea, so im not stupid, and I realized that it was a prank call (the laughing of friends in the background gave it away) so I played along and kept talking. Yadda yadda, it was some girl with a chinese accent. Too bad chinese people don't say "tru, tru" on the phone. haha. then they said come talk to them tomorrow at 12, because at 10 they eat eggrolls. Whoever it was had some good thinking, they sounded funny. Maybe someone who had too much time on their hands. Anyway, i went by the bowling alley and saw precious, I haven't seen her in forever. Then i talked to charlie for a little bit before she went to bed. I wish i could have talked to her longer, but ill talk to her tomorrow. she needs her rest so she can dominate the tournament tomorrow. (she can do it cause she's 3 days older than me, she said so herself. :þ ) Well church is in the morning, so I am going to get to sleep. Goodnight world. Vacation is here!
So I've worked at Richey Brothers and took my SATs AGAIN... it's starting to feel like vaction now, I don't have much to worry about or have to think about until I go back to school. What's going to happen is, if I make it into West Ga, ill get to go there everyday instead of going to high school. I am hoping I can do the Mon., Weds., Friday type deal so I have Tues. and Thurs. to work. So one of my friends called me up last night while I was at dinner and told me that this media production company needs a small website done. Good news for me, since that's what I do! My friend is getting more info on the job, and maybe it can be an extra $300 in my pocket. woohoo! Anyway- this week is going to be busy! Ill put up more information later on. As for now, take care everyone, and take it easy! Current Mood: relievedCurrent Music: The Starting Line | | Thursday, June 24th, 2004 | | 6:25 pm |
just whistle while you work...
I just got back from working at Richey Brothers Auction today. $150 in 10 hours, not bad, not bad. They sold over 1000 items today, it was insane how fast they went thru the inventory they had. I got up at 5:45 this morning and was hyped on an adrenaline rush, because I didnt sleep at all last night, I kept waking up thinking I wasn't going to hear the alarm or something... I have no clue. Then I also had someone on my mind.. but that's a different story. ;) So SATs tomorrow... hooray, I get to wake up at 5:45 again so I can make it to Carrollton by 8am. (bad times) Wish me luck. I only have to get 40 more verbal points to get into WestGA for next year(i should have paid attention to my radical christian teacher), so i think i can do it (its only like 6 more questions I have to get correct) Oh- I know you were all thinking about what I had up my sleeve for my website design company. Well, I did some networking today and gave out my card to 4 people, and wrote my number down for another business owner. Two of the business owners said they would definately be in contact with me about doing a website for their construction equipment reselling company (one man said I might be able to pay myself thru college! woohoo!) I also wrote a proposal to this man in Buford, GA about a real estate site! Looks like good times ahead! Ill keep you posted. :-D Current Mood: productiveCurrent Music: Dashboard Confessional - Vindicated | | Tuesday, June 22nd, 2004 | | 4:24 pm |
where does all the time go?
You would think being woken up by a cell phone at 10am wouldn't be a bad thing, but it doesn't feel to great when you went to bed just a couple hours ago (4am). My cell was ringing and it was Chad on the phone from Louisiana, telling me that he was going to fax me the rest of the insurance form fields that needed to be corrected online. After fixing a couple fields and uploading the new forms, I was finished with that project. I also heard back from Joe on the webEmenu project and he said that I was "his goto guy..." and that he will keep me informed on when the project will begin. As of right now his company is going thru some problems and things need to be sorted out. Today I called Jenni at the Bubble Gum Ice Cream Art Studio in Newnan today to see if she was still interested in getting a website done, but I just got the answering machine. She'll call me back, they always do. ;) Aside from business news, I got to hang out with Charlie last night for a little bit, and then watch Josh mess up his ankle cause he was trying to "run and jump.." or so he says... its cool though, he literally "walked it off" :þ Charlie is one of the coolest chicks I know, I hope I can hang out with her and get to know her more. But anyway, I have to work more on SMM ( http://www.2k3studios.com/churchRedesign) and then get ready for beef o brady's trivia tonight. we sooooo own that game. ;) Current Mood: Overtired HyperCurrent Music: Thrice - Stare at the Sun | | Monday, June 21st, 2004 | | 3:00 pm |
Quick updates...
So today I found out my cousin was in a Sony Handicam ad. Congrats to him! You can see his site at http://www.christessitore.com/Other than that, I am waiting to hear back from Joe about the webEmenu project, and waiting on Tech Designs to send their remaining balance to me. These Louisiana people are not very good when it comes to mailing letters; my check he sent me was returned twice to his business... who knows... Also, I am getting really excited about going on vacation to CT and VT. It's going to be great seeing family and old friends who I haven't seen in 4 years! But, I will have to bring my laptop to work the first two weeks while im not mingling with the cousins and catching up with everyone. Sometimes I wish I could not work and not get stressed out about money and stuff... but thats not how the world works. There is $10K to be made, and I'm just the man who's going to do it. And its all uphill from here...
So here's the scoop on what's going down tomorrow and this week coming up. Tomorrow I will probably go to church, and then work on the SMM website. (this was a project I picked up for a church and I get to redesign their website and get more people involved in their parish) Monday-Friday, busy busy busy. Monday-Weds. I will be working on the SMM Website and also will be talking with Joe about doing the webEmenu project (this is a program that I will build for the automotive industry, and will be one of my biggest projects I've done yet. Im very excited for this one.) Weds. night - Orientation at Richey Brothers Auctioneers. Thursday - Managing customer sales at RB Auctions for the day Friday - ISATs at West Georgia (can you believe I was off by 40 points?) Saturday - unknown Yea, thats the break down for the week with business. As for friends and family, I will probably hang with my buds kyle and ryan @ beef o bradys to play trivia tues., and tomorrow I will be saying bye to Dad and Kevin (my brother). I wont see my brother for 3 weeks, and I wont see dad until I go back up to NY, so whenever. Im getting psyched for Smugglers notch this year, week 29 is going to kick ass. We are going to party hard; its my last year! And, after going to a kick ass Eric Clapton concert last night, I am going to leave you with this... Why is it that everyone and their mom smokes weed? It's pretty sad that people have to drink alcohol, or do drugs just to have a good time. If you wanna have fun with me, bring some soda and nachos, that's how I roll.
